Zayn Malik is still in regular contact with his former One Direction bandmates.
The 22-year-old star, who quit the boy band last week after five years, reportedly remains on good terms with Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, and has spoken to them several times in recent days.
A source close to the group's record label boss Simon Cowell says they completely respect Zayn's decision to leave and there are no hard feelings between them.
The insider also told gossip website TMZ.com that the 'Story of My Life' hitmakers, who are currently on tour in South Africa, have "absolutely zero" plans to replace the British heartthrob and are focusing on recording their upcoming album.
It was previously revealed Zayn, who is engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, cried for an hour when he first told Harry he was leaving the band.
A source recently said: "Zayn felt he needed out of the showbiz world to get his head straight.
"He's always struggled with the fame and felt it all became too much.
"In the end, he felt it was a choice between the band or Perrie - and he chose Perrie.
"He spent an hour on the phone to Harry crying, trying to make all the boys see it was the right thing."
