Singer Cher Lloyd has revealed her father is "seriously unwell" in hospital.
Lloyd, 26, shared a post on Instagram, saying she has been unable to see her father and that it has been "really difficult" for her family.
The star, who first found fame on The X Factor in 2010, had previously revealed he had been taken to hospital amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Writing on social media on Wednesday, Lloyd, a mother-of-one, said: "Hi everyone, I'm sorry I've been quiet on here – I find it difficult to share my personal life at the best of times but I feel I need to let you know what's going on.
"My dad has been seriously unwell and is in hospital. This has been really difficult on us and my head's all over the place. I wish I could see him, and I wish I could be with my family to support them, especially mum.
"We can't be with dad but I'm so grateful to the doctors and nurses for looking after him. This is such a scary time for everyone."
Lloyd, who topped the UK singles charts in August 2011 with Swagger Jagger, said she hoped fans were staying safe amid the health crisis and that her team would be managing her social media to share updates on her latest single, Lost.
Last month, Lloyd told House Of Solo she was isolating with her daughter Delilah-Rae and husband Craig Monk.
Since finishing fourth on the seventh series of X Factor, Lloyd has collaborated with stars including Demi Lovato and Becky G and released two albums, most recently 2014's Sorry I'm Late.
