The 'X Factor' boss is reported to have purchased a brand new white scooter to help him get around town while avoiding London's busy traffic.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Si ordered the limited edition Italian scooter after having one briefly in Miami.
"He has a big car collection but this time he thought he'd spend some cash on a scooter."
The 55-year-old star was previously spotted riding around the city of Miami, Florida - where he owns a home with girlfriend Lauren Silverman - on one of the vehicles, which can reach speeds up of up to 60 miles per hour.
However, the couple will have to stick to more traditional methods of transport when looking after 12-month-old son Eric.
Meanwhile, rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed he has had a number of conversations with Simon about joining the judging panel of 'The X Factor'.
Speaking about replacing one of the current judges - Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Louis Walsh or Mel B - on the ITV talent show in the future, Snoop said: "Never rule out me being judge, I have had more than one discussion with Simon."
