Shia LaBeouf is abiding by the plea deal he reached with Manhattan prosecutors after his drunken meltdown in June.
The 'Fury' actor appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court earlier today (25.11.14) to submit proof he's been attending an alâcohol treatment class in Los Angeles following his bizarre conduct at a performance of the musical 'Cabaret', when he shouted obscenities, smoked cigarettes and slapped one of the actors on the backside.
However, following his appearance in court, attorney Robert Gage praised his client's recent transformation, saying: "Shia has done a terrific job of complying with the program. And we appreciate the court's recognition of it."
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Shia, 28, will see the charges against him dismissed provided he is not rearrested.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Shia's 'Fury' co-star Brad Pitt has inspired the troubled actor to do more charity work.
A source told US OK! magazine: "Brad's involvement with global causes is something that Shia admires.
"Shia wants to show people that he's more than an entitled Hollywood punk. He's actually a down-to-earth guy who's been through a lot - and he's still aiming to come out on top."
