Ed Sheeran says his heart is in England and he couldn't imagine living in other country.
Despite having massive success Stateside with his latest album 'X', the 23-year-old musician wouldn't want to make America his permanent residence or any other nation in the world because he is a happy Englishman.
Although Ed admits he's been so busy touring that he very rarely spends any time at his actual home.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I don't want to live anywhere but England. It'd be nice when I'm in the position to have a holiday home to have something somewhere else, but England is where my family and friends are, and I don't want to live anywhere else ... Although I haven't lived anywhere technically for a long time, but I have houses I could live in if I wasn't working."
The main reason Ed wants to stay in the UK is that he would miss he friends and family if he lived in a different country and he relies on the support and advice of his pals who have known him for a long time.
He added: "I lived in Nashville for a bit where there are loads of people to go and have a drink with and jam. But there's no one you can ring on a s**t day and be a d**k to. I can sit with my friends that I grew up with in Suffolk and complain and moan about anything and they'd be fine with it. My school friends will give advice based on the fact they've known me for 15, 20 years."
After performing at the Grammys and at a Stevie Wonder tribute concert - at which he duetted with Beyoncé - in Los Angeles in the last week, Ed is due back in London later this month for the BRIT Awards.
