The actor began dating Amy back in April this year, revealing the news through Instagram and has now spoken out after rumours circulated the pair had split.

On Twitter he said: "@i_am_amyjackson and I haven't split up - We are very happy together! #fact (sic)."

The pair met when he judged a Miss England competition in 2010, which he judged.

The Sun newspaper claimed yesterday that the two had hit a rocky patch in their relationship, with a source claiming: "Things suddenly started to go wrong between them in the past few weeks. It was to do with their busy work schedules - they hardly saw each other.

"Amy is also quite a bit younger than Ryan and maybe wasn't ready for a serious relationship."

Ryan responded by tweeting that the story was 'made up', and the pair are still very much in love.
