OD STEWART's dreams of landing cult rockers THE BLACK KEYS as his backing band
on his next album have inched closer - the duo is open to the idea.
The British rocker revealed he has his sights set on teaming up with the band
for a new blues covers album in a recent interview.
And now the unlikely pairing has moved a step closer to happening.
The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney tells Billboard.com he read Stewart's
comments online and now he and partner Dan Auerbach have accepted the offer to
team up with the veteran - if he's prepared to record the project in their
native Akron, Ohio.Auerbach says, "Maybe somebody will make the first move."
