Rafe Spall grew up eating his Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve.
The 31-year-old actor, who stars in 'Get Santa' alongside Jim Broadbent and Warwick Davis, has revealed his family never followed tradition when it came to their festive feast - and it's confused his plans ever since.
Reflecting on his Christmas experiences, Rafe told BANG Showbiz: "I grew up eating Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, so by the time it would come to Boxing Day ... I don't really know what we did. Oh yeah, we'd go to my uncle Nick's who lives in Margate.
"But since I've had my own children - gosh, what do we do? Boxing Day has lost its mystique, it's lost its special thing - because of ruining it because of the Christmas Eve dinner.
"So, I don't really know what to say. Apart from the fact that in New York, there's no such thing as Boxing Day. In America, they don't know the word Boxing Day. I was there last year. The just call it, simply, the day after Christmas."
Rafe - who has daughter Lena, three, and two-year-old son Rex with his wife Elize du Toit - also admitted he leaves out treats for Santa and his reindeer every year.
He said: "We leave out a mince pie, which by Christmas morning is half-eaten, a carrot and some Guinness. He loves Guinness!"
