Lady Gaga is to perform at the Oscar Awards later this month.
The 28-year-old singer will take to the stage at the 87th annual Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, on February 22 to sing a track for the star-studded audience.
Taking to her Instagram account this evening (12.02.15), the blonde beauty shared the big news with her fans, writing: "I'm performing live at the OSCARS this year!"
It is not yet known what the 'Applause' hitmaker will be performing but the producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, of the annual ceremony believe she'll put on a spectacular show.
A statement release today reads: "Lady Gaga is a once-in-a-lifetime artist whose musical evolution keeps growing. We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time."
The announcement comes just a week after the eccentric star performed at the Grammy Awards alongside Tony Bennett.
However, Gaga - who bagged her sixth Grammy gong last Sunday for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for her and Tony's 'Cheek to Cheek' collection - isn't the only one rocking the stage this year as the host Neil Patrick Harris, 41, is to perform an opening number.
