The former glamour model - who was married to Peter from 2005 to 2009 and had two children, Princess, nine, and Junior, seven, with him, before their bitter divorce - is keen to bury the hatchet with her former spouse and hopes the pair can be on speaking terms in the future.
According to Katie's 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate Kavana, the brunette beauty is currently in contact with Peter's fiancee, Emily MacDonagh, but would love to be able to communicate with Peter, 41, himself.
Kav said: "Katie did speak about Peter. She says it like it is.
"She would like some kind of reunion for them to speak. I think she goes through text messages with the other half.
"But I think she is on the side of having some kind of chat with him about stuff."
However, Peter - who welcomed a third child, Amelia, with Emily, 23, last year - isn't interested in having a relationship with the star.
Kav added: "I think it's him that doesn't want it, according to her."
Katie - who was paid £500,000 to star in the latest series of the Channel 5 show - hasn't been shy when it comes to discussing her ex-partners on camera.
The 36-year-old TV personality has shocked viewers with her foul-mouthed comments about her former lovers, which included vivid descriptions of her sex life with ex-hubby Alex Reid.
The mother-of-five - who is currently married to former stripper Kieran Hayler, with whom she has son Jett, 17 months, and five-month-old daughter Bunny, as well as 12-year-old Harvey from a previous relationship - claimed she used to perform anal sex on him regularly with a sex toy.
She explained: "That's why I divorced him. Because I didn't want to be the man in the relationship."
