Jennifer Aniston is "flattered" by the Oscar buzz she is receiving.
The 45-year-old actress - who plays a mourner with chronic pain in 'Cake' - has revealed she is shocked that her part in the drama film has got people talking about her possibly being nominated for an Oscar award.
The actress also admitted that her reaction to the award nomination buzz was in an "awkwardly and stutteringly" manner.
Speaking about the role, she added: "It ticked all the boxes that an actor dreams of.
"It was just a wonderfully beautiful story of a woman in extraordinary pain, living through an unthinkable trauma.
"I also found her quite humorous and quite endearing. You have empathy for the character."
The 'Friends' star also revealed that she enjoyed the challenges of the role and found that the film helped her to break away from her usual roles.
She told PEOPLE.com: "That was a challenge for me. How do we tell this story without having everyone hate her?
"I actually loved her. But the movie has a beautiful way of unfolding itself without giving the story away and allowing the audience to go with the journey as it's being told."
Despite not having yet won an Oscar, Jennifer has been awarded an Emmy, a Golden Globe and two MTV Movie Awards amongst others.
