The 36-year-old presenter - who is set to start hosting 'The Late Late Show' in the US on March 23 - doesn't expect to be an instant hit with fans of the long-running chat show and admits it's "probable" that he could be axed from the job "within six months."

The 36-year-old star said: "I'm well aware there is every chance it's going to start, no one is going to like it, and it isn't going to work.

"That's completely possible, maybe even probable, and that it's cancelled within six months."

But the British star admits he avoids reading negative things about himself on the Internet.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The worst thing I could do at this moment in my career is start Googling myself or searching for stuff because if you look long enough, you will always eventually find something horrible.

"You just can't live your life like that. Nothing good can come from it. The good stuff is like water off a duck's back and the bad stuff you just hang on to and that's poison basically. It's madness. You might as well just punch yourself repeatedly in the face.

"It's completely fine for people not to like you - for me, the worst thing you can be is vanilla."

The 'Into the Woods' actor, who has son Max, three, and daughter Carey, three months, with wife Julia, has no plans to undergo a Hollywood makeover despite recently shedding six stone and hiring a personal trainer.

He joked: "Maybe this will change when the show goes out and people are saying, 'My God, hasn't Honey Boo Boo's mum let herself go'.

"Perhaps then I'll rethink things, but right now, what I look like is the furthest thing from my mind."
