Harry Styles is "ambitious about his future".
The One Direction star - who turned 21 on Sunday (01.02.15) - is not contemplating quitting the chart-topping band, which also features Niall Horan, Zayn Malk, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson any time soon, but can't help but think about how his career is going to progress.
A friend of the singer revealed: "Harry's a very sensible man. He knows he's got time on his side and doesn't want to rush anything.
"Right now he loves that his life in One Direction means he gets to meet so many interesting people who might be able to help him in the future.
"He's very grateful for everything One Direction has given him. He appreciates it every day.
"But obviously he does think about his future and what he might like to achieve.
"That's inevitable. He's ambitious about his future."
As well as recently being tipped for success on the big screen by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, record executives are vying for the attention of the 'Night Changes' hitmaker who want to develop him as a solo artist.
A music insider told The Sun newspaper: "It's no secret within the industry that Universal's chief executive Lucian Grainge is very interested in Harry's future.
"There would be a massive bidding war to sign him as a solo artist that could make him one of the richest singers in history."
