Giuliana Rancic will return to 'Fashion Police' in September.
The 40-year-old star, whose co-hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin dramatically quit the E! series after she made a controversial comment about Disney star Zendaya Coleman in February, insists the show hasn't been axed and will return with a new panel later this year.
She said: "I think more than ever, ['Fashion Police'] is definitely coming back, because [the controversy] shows that a lot of people were watching the show and enjoyed the show. So yeah, it's coming back in September, in time for the Emmys. I will be on the show, Brad Goreski will be on the show, and now they just have to fill the other seats."
The E! News anchor, who came under fire for saying Zendaya looked like she smelled "like patchouli oil, or maybe weed" at the Oscars, admits she hasn't spoken to Kelly, 30, since she quit the series, but claims she was "so sweet" and supportive when the controversy first erupted.
She told 'Access Hollywood Live': "People started calling and Kelly was one of them, and she was so sweet. She called me as a friend.
"And then I think it kind of took on a life of it's own."
But Giuliana admits there were "problems" behind the scenes for some time.
She said: "There were issues... a lot of people had problems with the new season before it aired. I don't know what was behind all of these moves that people made. I can't speak on Kelly's behalf or Kathy's behalf. I really can't."
Asked if she would call or meet Kelly for tea, she said: "We'll see. I feel like it's gotten so out of hand, I have great friends and family that have stuck by me through this whole thing."
