Faith Hill had neck surgery before the Oscars.
A small scar on the country singer's neck captured the attention of eagle-eyed fans as she walked the red carpet at the Academy Awards last Sunday (22.02.15).
A source confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that the 47-year-old star had an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion on her neck to correct damage done by an injury a few years ago.
Meanwhile, her husband Tim McGraw - who sang his version of Glen Campbell's 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You' at the bash - couldn't help but gush about his wife on the red carpet.
He said: "She looks pretty hot, huh. I married up."
Tim - who tied the knot with Faith in 1996 - believes their marriage is so successful because they try to keep things as "normal" as possible for themselves and their three children, Audrey, 13, Maggie, 16 and Gracie, 17.
He said: "I think, for us, being as normal as possible and raising our family and being in a family situation as much as possible... Certainly it's different because of what we both do, but we try to keep it as much of a family environment that we can.
"And most of the time... we try to make that the priority and the primary time that we spend. For us, we leave the front doors when we go to work, but when we're home, we don't talk about none of the music that much... It's a whole different world."
