Esther Rantzen is now considering online dating in a bid to find love.
The presenter has confessed she's lonely since her husband passed away, and is now tempted to give Tinder a try.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror she said: "I've heard of Tinder, it sounds fabulous. I shall certainly think about that."
Her husband Desmond Wilcox passed away in 2000, and whilst she's looking online to find someone new she has dismissed social media, as they're too dull.
"I'm not sure I like Facebook, I think there are various Esther Rantzens on there. I think that there are impersonators. I tried Twitter but got a bit bored."
Now Esther has launched The Silver Line - a free 24 hour service which OAPs can call for a chat if they're feeling lonely.
"About three years ago I moved from a house to a flat, living alone for the first time, and I realised that coming home to a dark flat with no one to say, 'How was your day?' I didn't enjoy."
Now that the service has launched, Esther is urging pensioners to pick up the phone to ensure mental well being amongst the elderly.
She added: "We're reaching out to people who nobody wants to listen to."
