Elizabeth Banks is glad her sons are "really great friends."
The 'Hunger Games' star, who has two children, Felix, four, and Magnus Mitchell, two, with husband Max Handelman, says her boys are "what makes my life."
The 41-year-old actress said: "They are really great friends. I'm really close with my siblings, and my husband and I wanted to have our children close together for that reason. The fact that they're so loving toward each other and such good little friends is what makes my life."
The 'Pitch Perfect' star admits she appreciates her own mother more since becoming a parent.
She told PEOPLE.com: "I think we take for granted a lot of gratitude in our lives like, 'Oh, my mother knows that I thank her.' I guarantee your mother cannot hear it enough. No mom can hear 'Thank you' enough. I am a mom, and no mom can hear it enough."
Elizabeth previously revealed she used a surrogate to have her children after struggling to get pregnant.
Speaking in 2012, she said: "It was a womb issue for me. Embryos wouldn't implant. It's a big leap, inviting this person into your life to do this amazing, important thing for you. But our surrogate is so extraordinary, and she's still in our lives. She's like an auntie."
