Demi Lovato's "best friend" is God.
The 'Neon Lights' singer - who entered rehab in 2010 for treatment for an eating disorder, drug and alcohol addiction and self-harm - is proud she will mark three years sober next month and feels "blessed" to have love and support around her.
She tweeted: "Sometimes I look at how far I've come in my personal journey and I'm like.. Holy s**t.. I f***ing conquered that like a boss!!
"3 years sober next month... Hell yeah!!! God is so good. My best friend created the universe and still takes time to love me. #soblessed (sic)"
Demi also suffers from bipolar disorder and has previously admitted managing her condition is a daily struggle.
She has said: "It's a daily thing. I treat it with medication. Not everybody does that, but for me it works. That's what works for me - medicating, checking in with people, being honest, and being grateful for things."
The 22-year-old star previously revealed her 21st birthday was a turning point in her life because she was happily sober for the first time in years.
She explained: "I was used to drinking and doing drugs on my birthday. I always imagined my 21st being a huge party where I'd get s**t-faced and go crazy. But I realised that there's so much more to life than that."
