Cameron Russell doesn't have to watch what she eats.

The 27-year-old model thinks she inherited her eye-catching figure from her grandmother, meaning she needn't worry too much about the food she consumes.

The New York-based model explained: "I have the same chicken legs as my 88-year-old grandmother, so really, I think it's genetic."

The brunette, who has modelled for the likes of Marc Jacobs and Prada, also revealed she exercises because it makes her "feel good", rather than because it keeps her slim.

What's more, Cameron confessed that she initially saw modelling as a short-term venture before she realised the money on offer.

She told Self magazine: "They start paying you and you're like, 'Whoa this is way better than babysitting.'"

The Columbia University graduate became a household name in 2012, when she delivered a TED talk titled 'Looks aren't Everything. Believe me, I'm a Model', in which she said she'd won the "genetic lottery".

Reflecting on the discussion - which attracted lots of attention at the time - Cameron said: "My TED talk was about how models get too much attention. I had a feeling it would get a lot of viewers!"
