Amy Adams "was shocked and upset" after being axed from a US TV show.
The 'Big Eyes' actress was scheduled to appear on the 'Today' show, but producers decided to cancel the interview because she refused to discuss the recent Sony hack.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "Amy said she didn't want to contribute to the media coverage of it...then she was abruptly told that her interview with 'Today' was cancelled."
In a statement, a spokesperson for the show explained: "As a news program, the 'Today' show doesn't allow guests to put restrictions on interviews. In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview. "
Earlier this month, controversial email exchanges between Sony executives and celebrities, including Amy, were made public by hackers, who successfully managed to block to release of Seth Rogen's movie 'The Interview,' which is about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
A chain of emails revealed the 'American Hustle' actress, 40, and Jennifer Lawrence were paid less than their male co-stars Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Christian Bale for their Oscar-nominated roles in the movie.
