Amanda Holden says Cheryl Cole needs a "proper man" so she can be looked after.
Holden is good friends with the former Girls Aloud star, who has just begun dating Frenchman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, and thinks the brunette beauty seems happy in her latest relationship.
Amanda explained: "I think Cheryl is a very special girl and she needs a proper man to really look after her.
"I met him briefly. He's French, he's got a beard, he's sexy. But he's not as sexy as my husband."
She then added: "She seems happy. She's been through the mill and she's a fighter."
The 'Crazy Stupid Love' hitmaker is also set to make her comeback on 'The X Factor', where she will be joined by Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh on the judging panel, and Amanda can't wait to see what outfits Cheryl opts for.
She added to new! magazine: "I think she's a goddess, and I think everyone will jump on board with her the minute she walks in the room. I can't wait to see what she's wearing. I'm terrible, most people say to me they watch 'Britain's Got Talent' to see the frocks and I'll be watching 'X Factor' to see the same!"
