Zac Efron, red hot hunk of High School Musical, was left spellbound by one of Harry Potter's magical pals while in the U.K. last week.
Efron left girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens behind in Los Angeles while he travelled across the Atlantic to promote new movie 17 Again in London - and struck up a fast friendship with redhead Bonnie Wright, who plays Ron Weasley's sister Ginny in the Potter films.
The pair met at the premiere last Thursday night and was then spotted enjoying a late-night liaison on the backstreets of London
One superfan, who followed Efron from the Leicester Square cinema, tells WENN, "It was about 11.30pm and he walked up to this car and waited for someone to get out. I didn't recognise her at first, but it was that girl in the Harry Potter movies. I saw her earlier on the red carpet and she was really sweet and signed lots of autographs."
The couple was then spotted walking off down the street before disappearing into a building, when Efron was spotted by a gang of female fans - but not before Wright had made sure Efron had her phone number.
The fan adds, "You wouldn't believe what she (Wright) did next. She stuck her hand in the back pocket of his trousers and grabbed his phone. She quickly pressed a few things on the phone and then placed it into his back pocket again.
"I think she was typing in her own number."
"All the fans were wondering what Vanessa Hudgens would think if she found out about what had happened."
Wright's London publicist has confirmed the actress was invited to the premiere, but she insists WENN's superfan was seeing things: "Bonnie went to the premiere because she was invited and wanted to go. She doesn't know him (Efron), she hasn't met him before and didn't speak to him at the premiere. They didn't meet up afterwards, as far as I am aware. There's no more to say really."
The late-night liaison came just a day after photos of a sad Hudgens dining alone in Los Angeles hit the Internet.
