William Shatner makes documentary for die-hard Trekkies...
William Shatner has created a must-see documentary for Star Trek devotees which sees him sit down with all the other actors who played Captains in the sci-fi film and television franchise.
The featured Captains include Patrick Stewart, Scott Bakula and Scott Pine and Shatner admits he found it to be a very rewarding experience.
He says: "The documentary that I directed and am in... is a voyage of a kind, an epiphany for me within the documentary.
"We flew all over the world to find the actors who were the Captains in Star Trek and I found traits and abilities and tendencies that were communal, that we all had. All the actors had many things in common.
"Everybody got divorced, everybody had trials and tribulations, everybody had a sadness."
As part of the documentary, Shatner arm wrestles Pine.
The show debuts on EPIX, US cable channel on Friday. Shatner will also host a screening of the film at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Monday night.
