Will Ferrell morphed into his quirky Anchorman alter-ego Ron Burgundy on U.K. TV on Wednesday (01Dec10) to advise Brits on how to keep warm during the current cold snap sweeping the country.
The Elf star won over film fans in 2004's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, which saw him portray a dim-witted newsreader, and he reprised his comedy role during a promotional trip to Britain for new movie Megamind 3D.
Speaking on The One Show, he said, "I have a few tips here. During this cold snap - and believe me, it is a cold snap - here are some things you can do to help ease the chill.
"Have a hot drink every hour and one hot meal a day. Now, I don't know if you are supposed to have them together, a hot meal and a hot drink, or if you can spread them out, that's up to you.
"Wear several layers of clothing because of course it's better than one and I would suggest wearing a thick wool turtleneck if you have one. I know that I have several. Keep your main room between 18 and 21 degrees - that's Celsius!"
Britain is currently experiencing extreme weather conditions, with Arctic winds blasting much of the country and several inches of snow closing many main roads, leaving travellers stranded.
