Tax evading Wesley Snipes has begun his three-year sentence at a minimum security prison in Pennsylvania.
The Blade Triology star has spent two years fighting the 2008 conviction for failing to file tax returns and recently lost an appeal and request for a retrial.
Snipes was ordered to report to authorities on Thursdayy 9 Dec, as his lawyers made a last effort to keep him out of prison by filing and emergency court motion in Florida, demanding a new trial.
Traci Billingsley, Chief Public Information Officer for the Bureau of Prisons, told TMZ.com: "Wesley Snipes has self surrendered to the minimum security Federal Prison Camp at the Federal Correctional Institution McKean, in Bradford, Pennsylvania."
The latest allegations about jury misconduct stem from claims made by an unnamed member of the 2008 jury, who had emailed Snipes' lawyers earlier this year.
The juror claimed three people on the panel had already made up their minds about Snipes before the trial had even begun.
