Los Angeles Police are baffled as to what killed the caretaker who died at Ving Rhames' home after a dog attack last Friday (03Aug07). Jacob Adams, 40, was pronounced dead in front of Rhames' Brentwood, California home after he was allegedly attacked by the Pulp Fiction star's pets. But police spokesman Lieutenant Fred Corral says a further autopsy is required before officials can determine whether Adams died from a heart attack or from being mauled by dogs. Corral adds the results of this autopsy could take eight to 10 weeks to materialise. After the incident, animal control officers removed four dogs - three mastiffs and one bulldog - which police reported were "the size of lions".Adams had bee bitten several times by the dogs as well as being scratched and having torn clothes. However it was confirmed by the coronory office that he was not mauled by the animals.Rhames was not at home at the time he was away filming a new movie.
