Superproducer Timbaland is set to launch his own high-tech keyboard - at a cost
of $2,967 (£1,483.50) each.
The hip-hop star's latest album Shock Value has seen massive success in the
U.S. and U.K., with single The Way I Are ending Rihanna's 10-week reign over
the British singles charts on Sunday (29Jul07). And now the beatmaker - real name Timothy Mosley - is teaming up with musical
instrument company Open Labs to cash in on his popularity with the Timbaland
Special Edition MiKo keyboard work-centre.
He says, "I've made the new Timbaland Special Edition MiKo with Tim's touch.
It's got everything I need in a single box and when I use it, we make
masterpieces." The keyboard features over 24 gigabytes of premium sounds, with no less than
25,027 presets.Timbaland has had a busy year producing Jutin Timberlake's new album FutureSex/LoveSounds
and appearing on the first single from that album SexyBack.The producer has also worked extensively with Nelly Furtardo for her new album Loose including
singles Maneater, Promiscuous, All good Things (Come to an End) and Say It Right.
