The Addams Family to leave Broadway
The Addams Family is leaving Broadway after a 20-month run that defied the critics.
The producers of the creepy musical adaptation of the hit TV show have announced the play, currently staring Brooke Shields and Roger Rees, will close on New Year's Eve.
The Addams Family opened in April last year, with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth leading the cast and the show instantly was a hit.
When it closes it will have seen 725 performances and 34 previews.
The show will continue to hit stages across America on tour next year. The touring musical will begin next month in New Orleans.
