Cat on a Hot Tin Roof to be fronted by Howard

Terrence Howard, Crash star will front an all-African-American production of Cat on a hot Tin Roof, a Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, on Broadway in March next year (08).The play will be directed by former Fame actress, Debbie Allen. Howard will perform alongside thespian Phylicia Rashad. This production marks the first African-American production approved by Williams’ estate for the Broadway stage despite Cat on a Hot Tin Roof making it to the big screen starring Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor and having been revived on Broadway four times before.The show will also feature Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose and James Earl Jones, who recently starred opposite Elizabeth Taylor in a one-night-only benefit performance of Love Letters in Los Angeles.
