Actor Steve Carell came to the rescue of his co-star Anne Hathaway on the red carpet on Monday, by helping her dodge a reporter's question about her break-up with Raffaello Follieri.The pair were at the Los Angeles premiere of their spy-themed film, Get Smart, when one journalist took the opportunity to question the actress on her highly-publicised split from the Italian businessman, who is currently in jail following his arrest on suspicion of fraud.But, before Hathaway could answer, Carell lunged in and answered: "In my role of agent (for) Miss Hathaway, I would like to say that she does not answer questions relating to this subject".Hathaway ended her long-term relationship with Follieri last month, just days before he was taken into police custody.The 29-year-old is currently behind bars until he can post $21 million (£10.5 million) bail. A status hearing has been set for 9 July.
