Steven Spielberg has picked up another prestigious award to add to his impressive collection.
The Hollywood director has landed the Motion Picture Sound Editors' (MPSE) 2010 Filmmaker Award.
The famous director will be honoured at next years MPSE's Golden Reel awards ceremony held on 20 February.
The award is being given for his groundbreaking soundtracks incorporated in his projects.
MPSE President Bobbi Banks says, "Steven Spielberg's evolution of the sound experience and collaboration with the sound and music editors has helped to shape new dimensions in sound."
Spielberg has joined forces with Peter Jackson to executive produce the highly anticipated Lovely Bones which is set to hit the big screen in the new year.
