Sir Paul McCartney will be giving his support to a campaign to save his local Post Office from closure.The Beatles star wrote a letter to plead with local authorities to allow the Post Office to remain open, in Merseyside, England, near one of his homes.As a part of his young brother, Mikes campaign to stop the branch from being shut, the letter from McCartney was read out in public on Monday (10Nov07).Mike, 63, says, "Paul's been coming to stay at his home here for over 40 years. Like everyone else he pops in for milk and to post letters. He wanted to do what he could.
