Caine Stunned By Cruise/holmes Romance....

Sir Michael Caine was among the first people to know his Batman Begins co-star Katie Holmes was dating Tom Cruise - he was with the actress when the couple went public with their romance.The British actor was promoting the film with Holmes when Cruise turned up at their hotel unannounced - to take his girlfriend out on a surprise date.Caine recalls, "I got the biggest surprise when we went outside and there was Tom Cruise standing there. I didn't know anything about their relationship and he just said to me, 'Where's my girl?' "The journalists there went silent: 'What's Tom Cruise doing here?' I said to Tom, 'Who's your girl?' and he said, 'Katie.' It was quite extraordinary. The reporters were all dumbfounded."No-one picked up a camera or anything. He came right into the (interview) room to get her and they were speechless.".
