British funnyman Simon Pegg is shocked by his global fame - he once met a devoted fan in Dubai. The actor - who currently stars in David Schwimmer's latest movie Run, Fat Boy, Run - says he was stunned to be recognised during a holiday in the Arab Emirates state.He says, "I was in a pizza restaurant and a young waiter recognised me from Shaun of the Dead."He laughed and said, 'Shaun likes pizza', which was strange, but nice. It shows how far films reach."Pegg is currebtly sitting pretty at the top of the UK box office with his new film Run Fatboy Run, directed by David Schwimmer, which held off competition from the Oscar tipped Atonement.Pegg made his name in television before moving to the big screen. In 2004 he wrote and starred in Shaun of the Dead which recieved critical and commercial success both here in the UK and in America.More recently he starred In Hot Fuzz, alongside Nick Frost, which also achieved success both sides of the Atlantic. His success in British movies landed him apart in Mision Impossible III with Tom Cruise.
