Shenae Grimes was left embarrassed and close to tears after a journalist questioned her about her co-stars choice to leave the 90210 series.
The actress was unaware that Trevor Donovan, who plays Teddy Montgomery in the show, had announced his decision to quit and has now slammed her bosses for keeping the news secret from her.
Grimes was on the red carpet when she realised the news and a source told: "She started making calls on the red carpet, holding back the tears.
"She was heard on the phone saying it was 'unprofessional for cast members not to be formally notified when a chance of this magnitude occurs'."
Donovan announced his departure from the show on Tuesday (June 7) but when she finally found out, the source says: "Her face dropped. It was clear she was not aware of the news."
