Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder has no regrets about his lengthy addictions to heroin and crack cocaine, despite not being able to remember most of the last 30 years. The 44-year-old, who has now quit drugs, started taking them in his early teens.He says, "Regretful? Am I f**k. No chance, no chance."They were great times. I can't remember any of them, mind. If you handed me some photos, I wouldn't know where I'd been."My memory's f**king bad now, which I'm probably thankful for. I can remember stuff from being under 13, and from 13 onwards, it's just a f**king blur."The alternative rock band hail from Salford in Greater Manchester and formed in 1985. The singer has taken part in two reformations of the Happy Mondays in 1999-2000 and then again in 2004.Away from the Happy Mondays in Ryder has been involved in several projects. In 1995 was a part of band Black Grape who had some sucess with their first album release "It's Great When Your Straight...Yeah" provided several hits. The second album didn't do do well and they split in 1997.Ryder has gone on to collaborate with The Gorillaz in 2005 on the single Dare and his most bizarre collaboration with tenor Russell Watson on Barcelona for Watson's 2006 album.
