Sarah Michelle Gellar is struggling to keep her two year old away from her priceless collection of first edition Dr. Seuss books.
The former Buffy, The Vampire Slayer star has been a longtime fan of the children's books and boasts an impressive collection of vintage versions, but her daughter doesn't understand why she can't read them.
Gellar says: "I've been working on collecting all first editions. I'd love to have all the first edition Dr. Seusses but it's very hard to explain to a two year old that she can't have that Hop on Pop... 'These are mummy's books!'"
The actress even had to put a child lock on the door to her home office, where she keeps her collection, to make sure little Charlotte doesn't get to them - but that didn't work.
She explains: "I have them in my office, which I keep child locked but I guess they're only me locked... They give her this weird leverage and she can slam them open and then I'm stuck in the room, trying to get out."
