Samuel L.Jackson was mistaken for a real homeless person while shooting new movie
Resurrecting The Champ
Jackson plays a former boxer who finds himself homeless in Resurrecting The
Champ and admits his on-set look was so convincing, fellow vagrants thought he
was also seeking shelter.
He says, "I was walking around, smoking cigarettes and these guys thought I
was one of them and then when we went to the shelter to eat for the lunch scene
with Josh Hartnett, I kind of fooled a lot of people there too."Resurresting the champ is based on the true story of L.A Times journalist J.R. Moehringer.Journalist Erik Kernan, played by Josh Hartnett saves a homeless man from a group of rowdy teenagers only
to discover that he is boxing great Bob Satterfield a man many had presumed had died. The film follows the growing relationship between the pair as Kernan writes the story of Satterfield. It's the beginning of film releases fighting it out for Oscar nominations and a nomination may just
come Jackson's way.
