Robin Wright Penn is angry details of her divorce have leaded to the media, because she feels two celebrities should be allowed to end their marriage respectfully.
The Forrest Gump star filed for divorce from Sean Penn in August (09), ending the couple's 13-year on/off marriage, and as their legal separation nears, the actress is furious strangers can read about the intricate details of the split in tabloid magazines.
She tells Redbook magazine, "It never feels good. Yes, it's divorce; it's a given that it will
be public. But... it's so disrespectful: 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' 'F**k you,' is what I say."
But Wright Penn is optimistic about the future: "(It'll be) new beginnings, definitely. For my career too."
The actress married Penn back in 1996, it was the second marriage for both after Wright had wed Dane Witherspoon and Penn had famoulsy married Madonna.
The couple had met back in 1989, following Penn's divorce from Madonna, and have two children daughter Dylan, born in 1991, and son Hopper, born two years later.
Despite her private life filling the gossip columns the actress has had a very successful year on the big screen with The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and State of Play already under her belt.
A Christmas Carol is next on the agenda for Penn as she voices the character of Belle, Scrooge's neglected fiancée.
