Latino hunk Ricky Martin lost his nerve when he was planning to propose to one ex - after buying the ring. The pop superstar bought an engagement ring on impulse but changed his mind about asking his then-girlfriend to marry him as soon as he left the jewellery store. He recalls, "A few years ago I was going out with this girl and suddenly one day I got this urge to stop by a jewellery store to buy her a ring. "But when I got the ring in my hand, I thought, 'What are you doing? You're not ready for this,' so I just took off." But the 36-year-old bachelor insists he doesn't have the same commitment issues he had back then. He adds, "If I had a girl now, I would (get married)." Ricky Martin burst onto the music scene in 1999, despite being a big star in Spanish speaking countries, with the infectious pop tune Livin la Vida Loca. His self entitled debut album reached number one in the UK and America and went seven times platinum selling over seventeen milion copies.

To date the singer has sold in excess of fifty five million albums worldwide.
