Richard Hatch has been released from prison after serving nine months behind bars for tax evasion.
The Survivor star was convicted in 2006 of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million cash prize he won after appearing on the first season of the American reality show.
Hatch walked free from prison in October 2009 after completing a three-year federal sentence, but was ordered back behind bars earlier this year (11) for failing to file his 2000 and 2001 tax returns.
Hatch attempted to get his nine-month sentence reduced on the grounds the punishment was "unreasonable" for the crime, but he has now completed the full stint.
The TV star served the last six weeks of his sentence at a state minimum-security facility as a transition after spending the majority of his jail time in a federal prison.
The 50 year old was released on Monday (12Dec11) and told the Associated Press he was "happy" to be walking free.
