Piers Morgan is probably busy making a shopping list for when he rakes in a huge £5.5million for agreeing to take over from Larry King at CNN.

Apparently the bosses over in the US are so impressed with his interviewing technique that they want to offer him a four-year deal with Piers working 30 weeks a year for the annual £1.4million salary.

Not a bad deal if you consider he gets 22 weeks off every year really is it? But it does mean he's probably be moving to the States permanently, meaning Simon Cowell will almost certainly have to find another replacement for his panel.

Any ideas? How about Katie Price?
