Phyllis Avery has passed away at the age of 88.
The Meet Mr. McNulty star suffered heart failure on 19th May which lead to her death, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Avery had long movie career which spanned out over 50 years. Her first major role was playing Charlton Heston’s onscreen wife in Ruby Gentry in 1952.
Her most famous role was Peggy McNulty in the TV series Meet Mr. McNulty and she also starred in Rawhide, Charlie’s Angels and Perry Mason.
The actress was married to actor Don Taylor up until their divorce in 1955. The couple had two daughters together.
