Pete Wentz has backtracked on his promise to keep his young son out of the spotlight - posting a photo of baby Bronx online after previously vowing not to show off the tot to fans.
The bassist and his wife, pop star/actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, refused to sell pictures of Bronx Mowgli to any magazines after he was born in November (08), despite being offered "mounds and mounds of money by mags to pimp out the baby", according to Wentz.
The rocker even declared he would ban personal photos of the newborn from his blog - but now he has published a snap to prove the internet can be harmless.
He writes, "You know I wrote that I didn’t really want to post pictures of Bronx out there. I feel like it would be damaging to our family and besides, he’s not old enough to decide if he wants to be an avatar (online image) or not.
"But the truth is I want him to know there is other stuff out there on the web about him that isn’t damaging and is just normal.
"Besides we had an old friend come and just take some pics so we could remember him when he was this lil (little). He’s blonde now.
