Katy Perry won five People's Choice Awards
Kaley Cuoco hosted the show, after a three minute clip of a pre-recorded Big Bang Theory scene was shown, in which Kaley Cuoco's character Penny recieved a call from her agent offering her a job as a seat filler at the award ceremony. Kaley is then shown sitting amongst the audience before she takes on her role as host. An entertaining start to the show which included a little skit from Neil Patrick Harris gave a clue that the evening would be filled with laughs.
The Red Carpet showed some stunning dresses on celebrities such as Demi Lovato, Emma Stone, Miley Cyrus, and Chloe Mortez who were all in attendance.
The awards came with a few surprise wins and a few expected favourites.
Katy Perry won five awards out of the six she was nominated for, the most awards of the night, despite pulling out of performing at the ceremony just days before and therefore attending.
Harry Potter and the Dathly Hallows was another big winner with four awards, including Favourite Movie. How I Met Your Mother seemed popular winning Favourite Network TV Comedy, and star Neil Patrick Harris winning Favourite TV Comedy Actor, and the guest star Katy Perry recieving the award for her role in the show.
Johnny Depp and Emma Stone picked up Favourite Movie Actor and Actress, and aso Favourite Animated Movie Voice for Depp and Favoute Comedy Actress for Stone.
Justin Bieber seems to have lost his grip a little over his huge voting fanbase as Bruno Mars stepped in to pick up the Favourite Male Artist award.
