Mira Sorvino helps out father with Diabetes competiton
Father and daughter movie stars, Paul and Mira Sorvino have teamed up for a diabetes cook off competition to raise awareness about the illness.
The pair are inviting other diabetes sufferers and healthy chefs to post recipes on website, DiabetesCoStars.com after the Goodfells actor was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes four years ago.
Him and his Oscar-winning daughter are joining to help create great recipes for those with high glucose levels in their blood.
The 72-year-old actor said: "As a connoisseur of good food, and someone living with diabetes, I understand the importance of creating meals that my whole family can enjoy, which is why I'm eager to prepare new diabetes-friendly recipes with the contestants."
The finalists to the competition will be announced on 30 August where they will be given the chance to cook their dishes at the New York Wine and Food Festival.
