O.J. Simpson is appealing his conviction for armed robbery charges, accusing the jury which found him guilty of racism.
The former American football star was sentenced to serve at least 15 years in prison in December (08) after he was convicted of orchestrating a sports memorabilia heist at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in September 2007.
However, Simpson - who claims he was simply taking back his sports belongings - is fighting the conviction and filed an appeal in Nevada Supreme Court on Tuesday (26May09).
According to TMZ.com, the Naked Gun star is arguing judicial misconduct, a lack of racial diversity on the jury and errors in sentencing and jury instructions in his bid to overturn his conviction.
The former football star turned actor was denied a retrail six months ago after a Nevada judge dismissed his lawyer's allegation of jury misconduct.
Hi guilty verdict came 13 years to the day since Simpson was acquitted of the double murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
