Notorious B.I.G’s mother has decided to turn her late sons memory into a brand, after signing a deal which means his likeness and name will be adorned on several products.
Biggie, whose real name is Christopher Wallace, will now be turned into a brand after his mother, Voletta Wallace, and widow, Faith Evans, signed an agreement with Brand Sense Partners earlier this month, in the aim of keeping his legacy alive.
Announcing the deal on Friday, the rapper's former manager, Wayne Barrow, says, "The family and I are excited to move forward with the exceptional team at BSP. "Their understanding of Christopher's cultural impact, as well as their vision for our brand mission made them the best partner possible for the task. We look forward to working hand in hand with them to build on Christopher's unique legacy."
The news broke on the eve of what would have been the rappers 39th birthday and musician Sean 'Diddy' Combs took to Twitter.com to pay tribute to his late protégé, whose murder remains unsolved.
Combs wrote, "Happy Birthday B.I.G... Miss you kid..."
