R&B singer Ne-Yo volunteered to be the father of a baby boy an ex-girlfriend conceived with another man when the biological dad failed to stick around. The kind-hearted star, 24, is no longer romantically involved with baby Chimere's mother but is determined the child will grow up with a father figure.He says, "My son is not biologically mine, but he's had no father but me since the day he was born." Ne-Yo aka Shaffer Chimere Smith is a Grammy Award nominated R&B and pop singer songwriter who's debut album In My Own Words debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts in 2006, selling over 301,000 copies in it's first week.His second album Because of You also reached number one in america this year.The star claims to have written ongs for Celine Dion, Britney Spears for their up coming albums and will be writing for Craig David, Usher and Jennifer Hudson in the near future.
