Michael Cera refuses to upgrade his beat-up old car for a flashy new vehicle because he enjoys seeing his friends "freak out" whenever he randomly kicks it.
The actor has held onto the blue Toyota Corolla he bought when he first found fame as a young teen on cult TV show Arrested Development, despite earning big pay cheques for roles in the Oscar-winning Juno and hit comedy Superbad.
But Cera is reluctant to let go of his dirty and dented car.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "It's really s**tty. But like, if I'm walking with my friends, and my car is parked on the street and they don't realize it, I'll be like, 'Hey, guys!' and kick it, and they'll get really freaked out. I mean, I can kick it and stuff!"
And it's not just the car's body which is in need of some work - his belongings are still strewn all over the interior of the vehicle, almost a year after he moved from Toronto, Canada to Los Angeles.
He adds, "I drove here from Toronto and haven't unpacked yet. (It was) like nine or 10 months ago."
